In the Beginning

Abidin’s Apps began as a not-for-profit entity in 1994.

It was started to put the Abidin family’s hometown schools in Moorestown, NJ on the Internet. Caitlin, Chris, and Randy Abidin canvased the local business community offering a webpage (yes, just a webpage) if they sponsored the project, called the “Moorestown.com Community Project”.
Jean Abidin, a teacher, worked the logistics within the schools.

The Abidins were so successful, they were able to create a website for the Moorestown schools, government, and non-profits.

Changing with the Technology

As the web technology matured in the late 1990s, they switched their development to dynamic database-driven websites. They also developed social networks for several local New Jersey communities (Moorestown, Mount Holly, and Lumberton).  These social networks included the local schools, government and non-profits.

During this time, the Abidin’s migrated from static HTML and Pearl, to COLDFUSION and MSSQL.  All websites were then developed with dynamic content the site owner could update with the Abidin’s custom Content Management System.

Exclusive WordPress Strategy

In 2010, the Abidins began to evaluate standard Content Management Systems with WordPress in their cross-hairs.
In 2013, all new development was then produced with WordPress. WordPress was also considered for any major update to existing legacy sites.

Today, the Abidins are focusing on their strengths – the back-end of WordPress developing custom plugins and integrating diverse plugins and systems.
